Buffalo Bisons Luncheon
Today marked the official unveiling of the Buffalo Bisons new uniforms as fans were invited to the Buffalo Bisons Hot Stove Luncheon, guests from the Blue Jays included Paul Beeston, Alex Anthopoulos, George Bell and Anthony Gose.

As you can see in the above photo that I borrowed from Jared Macdonald and Bluebird Banter (thanks guys) the team unveiled three different uniform schemes. An “iced white” top for home games, the usual gray tops for road games and an alternate red jersey featuring the classic “Blue Jays font” on the front and back. Personally I really like the new uniforms and think it’s a nice touch to incorporate the same font as the big league club on the third jersey.

For a more in-depth look at the new uniforms please check out where our friend Minor Leaguer, who attended the event in person, broke down the new uni’s.

Arbitration News
Today also marked the deadline for teams and players to come to a contract agreement before heading to the dreaded arbitration process. It was well noted on Twitter that Alex Anthopoulos had his head buried in his cell phone during the entire luncheon, evening invoking an apology from him when he had the chance to look away from his phone.

J.A. Happ agreed to a one-year $3.7 million contract, Emilio Bonifacio signed a one-year $2.6 million contract and Jose Thole agreed to a two-year deal worth $2.5 million with a club option for 2015.

With the Blue Jays avoiding arbitration with all of it’s eligible players this keeps Bill Risley in the spotlight for one more season as he was the last player to go to arbitration in 1997.
