As first reported by Jon Heyman of CBS the Blue Jays have signed free agent utility infield Maicer Izturis to a 3 year contract with a club option. Initially it was believed to be a $10 million dollar contract but was later confirmed to be a total of $9 million with the option year also being worth $3 million.

But…… that’s not all! AA added another reliever via trade.. Jeremy Jeffress was picked up from the Kansas City Royals for cash considerations, he’s 25 but has a checkered past being suspended by MLB twice for drug abuse. He is also known to throw into the triple digits so let’s hope he continues to do one of those two things.
