Blue Jays sign Cordero, extend Morrow

The Blue Jays have locked up starting pitcher Brandon Morrow to a three-year, $20-million dollar deal with a club option for the 2015 season.

Morrow would have been eligible for free agency after the 2013 season, but instead joins ace Ricky Romero as the club’s only starting pitchers signed to multi-year contracts.

Jays Sign Francisco Cordero

It is being reported that closer Francisco Cordero has agreed to a one-year, $4.5 million deal with the Jays.

Though he saved 37 games last year, he will likely serve as setup man to newly acquired closer Sergio Santos.
