Blue Jays lose director of Latin operations

Wednesday marked the second time this week that the Blue Jays front office has been raided.

Marco Paddy, director of Latin operations for the Jays is heading for Chicago to join the White Sox.

Paddy came to Toronto from the Atlanta Braves in 2006 and had a hand in signing prospects Henderson Alvarez and shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria, among others. His relationship with Yunel Escobar in Atlanta also helped the club acquire the stud short-stop.

Paddy will serve as the Sox special assistant to the general manager – international operations.
